GENERATIVE AI Project

Audiovisual Immersion Therapy
(AIT)

At Recovery Movie Meetups, our mission is to make visual storytelling a powerful and central tool in how professionals support individuals facing substance use and mental health challenges.

While our programs have traditionally revolved around full-length Hollywood films, new technological advancements are allowing us to add other assets to our AUD/SUD and mental health program toolkits.

Back in January, we predicted that generative AI would, within a few years, make it possible to create personalized films featuring people in recovery—stories in which they could literally see themselves, form emotional connections, and use as a springboard for personal insight and behavioral change.

We were wrong.

That future didn’t arrive in years—it arrived in months.

Today, with a single uploaded image (and full client consent), we can generate a fully customized short film in which the client appears as the central character.

These AI-generated recovery narratives enable individuals to see themselves navigating key turning points—making healthier choices, facing difficult emotions, and discovering the potential for transformation. The result: a powerful sense of identification, hope, and motivation.

We will begin beta testing this technology in Q3 2025.

If your organization is interested in joining our beta testing program, please reach out to us at:

Below are three early AIT short film prototypes created to demonstrate the capabilities of our new platform. While these initial examples were built using off-the-shelf AI video and voice tools, the technology is advancing rapidly—offering ever greater realism, emotional depth, and therapeutic potential in the months ahead.
