Ssengooba Yunusu is a mental health counselor with 2 years’ experience. He is the founder and Executive Director of the Consortium for Counselling Uganda. This is a multi-counseling mental health organization in Uganda aimed at addressing mental health disorders through providing professional counseling and guidance services.He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counselling from Kyambogo University and has completed over 50 certifications in continuous professional education.
Yunusu’s areas of expertise include substance-related and addiction counseling, Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) Counselling, gerontological counseling, climate and environment counseling, workplace counseling, leadership-focused counseling, and providing psychosocial support in disaster and refugee management.
He is a registered member of the Uganda Counselling Association (UCA) and the International Society for Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), and is committed to advancing mental health care by providing professional counseling and guidance services to individuals affected by mental health disorders. He is further, passionate about promoting mental health education, leadership, and advocacy.
